Based on a lace stitch from Milan, Italy, the pattern stitch is a true lace, employing yarn-overs in both the knit and purl rows. It is an easy pattern to knit, but does require “thinking backwards” on the wrong side rows. Finished size is approximately 8.5 by 52 inches, lightly blocked. I used cashmere fingering weight and a size 3 needle.
